I’m about to pull the trigger on a 2018 Range Rover Vogue and I’ve already arranged for a pre-purchase inspection, but I want to make sure the guy doesn’t miss anything critical. I know these cars can have air suspension problems, coolant leaks from the front crossover pipe, and timing chain issues on the 5.0 V8, but I’m not sure if a standard check includes things like raising and lowering the suspension multiple times or using a boroscope to look for chain wear. The inspector told me I can Get More Info about their process online, but I’d rather hear from actual Range Rover owners here. For those who’ve had an independent inspection done in Dubai or Sharjah, did they catch hidden faults like a failing air compressor or a weeping water pump? Also, is it worth paying extra for a diagnostic scan that checks for stored fault codes even if the warning lights are off? Any tips on specific questions to ask the inspector would be a lifesaver. I really don’t want to buy a car that looks great but spends half its life in the workshop.
