Put in an order yesterday for four new UN approved tanks with a local outfit here in Dubai and now I’m sitting here with a bit of buyer’s remorse wondering if I should have shopped around more before committing. The ibc tank price I paid came to about 850 dirhams per unit including the cage and pallet base which seemed reasonable during the call but then I was chatting with another warehouse manager at a trade event last night and he mentioned he got his for significantly less from a different supplier, though he was vague about whether those were new or reconditioned. I’m trying to figure out what the actual market range is right now for a properly certified new IBC with a standard ball valve outlet and a galvanized cage because the price transparency in this industry is honestly terrible and every quote feels like it was pulled out of thin air. Anyone bought from Crateco recently and willing to share what they paid so I can either feel better about my decision or kick myself properly and learn for next time? Also if you did buy from them, did the final invoice match the verbal quote or were there surprise charges for delivery or valve type that crept in at the last minute?
