Had that awful moment yesterday after a long shift. Came out to my car in the parking lot, turned the key, and nothing. Just that horrible clicking sound. I’ve always relied on roadside assistance before, but I didn’t want to wait around for hours. Luckily, a while back I read some practical roadside help tips for drivers that included how to jump start a car safely. I remembered the key points like connecting the cables in the right order and making sure both cars are off before you start. A kind stranger stopped to help and we had it running in minutes. If you drive in this heat, it’s really worth knowing how to do this yourself. You never know when you’ll need it.
